Max’s Class has been up to so many things this week already! We leave on our big trip to Utah on Sunday, and we are starting to get truly eager. Last week, we went on a pre-trip to Barr Lake. While there, we learned about water rights. Then we got a chance to canoe on the lake. Some of us already knew the basic steering strokes, but we all learned them again and practiced them out on the smelly green lake. The trip was fun because it helped us get to know each other better.
Today is National Talk Like a Pirate Day! We are excited to put on our eye patches and have fun with our mateys. Right now, we are working on river trip presentations to get ready for our trip and to work with different people. Our presentations will be on Friday. In this assignment, each group has a different topic to research and then present to the rest of the class. This week, Max’s Class has officially started unit projects. So basically we all are running around trying to get our work done.
