Time for Bigger Agendas 10-9-07

Max’s class has been pretty busy lately with lots of unit projects. We have a wide variety of unit topics and a wide variety of projects as well. Movies have been made, newspaper articles written, and posters decorated. We are also pretty busy with some art projects. Along with retouching our canyon pastel drawings, our art assignment is to make a tempera painting that shows a mood, some examples that we were shown are Van Gogh’s Cornfield with Crows, Monet’s Water Lilies, and Casper David Friedrich’s Abbey Under Oak Trees. Many people have already done their rough draft, and started their final. Every one that I’ve seen looks great. Max’s class has really started the actual school year, replacing team building with tempura paint, exciting activities with exigent essays. We are all really excited to truly get the year started.
